Match Report: Nottingham Forest vs Manchester City

It was a fantastic and closely contested game between Nottingham Forest and Manchester City, full of energy, commitment, and quality from both sides.

Manchester City opened the scoring through Nancy Rowlands, who finished well to give her team the advantage. Nottingham Forest responded positively and showed great resilience, with Poppy proving to be the difference on the day by scoring twice to turn the game around and secure a deserved 2–1 victory for Forest.

There were standout performances across the pitch. Angel showed great strength throughout the game, breaking up play effectively and disrupting the opposition. Mia-Faith demonstrated excellent awareness and distribution, keeping the team ticking with some smart passing. Pippa Rose impressed with her tenacity and accuracy, driving forward with confidence in both her dribbling and passing.

Holly set the tone with relentless pressing, while Ebony wasn’t afraid to get stuck in, making some strong and well-timed challenges. Leilani displayed excellent positioning and read the game superbly, providing calm and control at the back. Annabelle was constantly looking to get on the ball and make things happen, showing real intent and creativity for her team.

At the other end, Freya was outstanding in goal, making a number of brilliant saves and keeping her team in the game when it mattered most.

Overall, it was a great match and a fantastic match week performance. Well done to all the girls involved for their effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
