What a great week it’s been! It was fantastic to be back on Monday night at the YMCA, getting the week started with energy and smiles all around.
Saturday’s sessions faced a bit of a challenge with the weather, and unfortunately, two sessions had to be cancelled due to frozen pitches. But apart from that, all other groups went ahead as planned—big thanks to everyone for your flexibility!
Friday saw us back at Bishop for two excellent sessions, with numbers looking strong. Sunday was busy as well, with three groups running inside at the village hall and one group at Suthers. We always aim to keep sessions going for as long as possible because we know how important they are for your children’s enjoyment, growth, and development. A huge thank you to all parents for your continued support.
Some fantastic feedback from our newest coach, Coach Charlie, who ran his first session on Monday—though great work from him was never in doubt! He delivered an excellent technical session, focusing on passing and dribbling in tight areas, with a strong emphasis on communication and spatial awareness. Players also practiced shooting with their weak foot and taking first-time shots. We’re excited to see Coach Charlie bring more of his knowledge, experience, and passion to our program. Welcome, Charlie!
Looking ahead, next week is Penalty Shootout Week! Get ready for loads of fun, the chance for all children to feature on YouTube or TikTok (and yes, maybe a few funny blunders too!), and the opportunity to win prizes—completely free of charge.

We also have some big news coming Friday at 7 p.m., so make sure to follow us on social media—you won’t want to miss it!

Additionally, a full notice football fun calendar will be uploaded soon to social media and WhatsApp. This will include trials for new start-up teams, friendlies, mini leagues, tournaments, and more—everything parents need to plan for the months ahead.
We will also be updating our pricing. We’ve kept the cost the same for over two years, despite rising expenses and inflation. Even with the increase, we continue to offer more value for your money, with enhanced opportunities and experiences for your children. Full details will be shared with parents individually and online over the next couple of weeks.
Our goal remains the same: keeping football affordable, fun, and professional, while continually improving your child’s experience both on and off the field. We’re getting better every week, and we couldn’t do it without your support.
Let’s keep this momentum going—see you at training!
