Weekly Round-Up

What a week! Even with the weather doing its best to wash us out, the spirit across all LFF groups stayed strong.

Friday Night – Warriors

Four absolute warriors turned up in heavy rain on Friday night. The session went ahead despite the conditions, and the effort and attitude from those who came was brilliant.

Saturday – Devon Park & Avengers

Unfortunately, both Devon Park and the Avengers sessions were postponed due to waterlogged pitches. Not ideal, but safety and pitch quality always come first.

YMCA & Active4Today

A big win for us this week: YMCA and Active 4 Today sessions still ran as normal. Considering how relentless the rain has been, keeping 16 out of 19 groups operating is a huge achievement. Massive credit to the children—and the parents—who braved the drop in temperature and still showed up ready to work.

LFF Kit Reminder

LFF kit is available on our website. With Christmas around the corner and a two-week delivery time, now’s a perfect window to grab hats, coats, and any other bits the kids might want.

Coaching Update

I coached six groups across Sunday and Monday, while Coach Nathan covered Friday at Bishop for me—great work as always. I’ve seen some fantastic individual improvements lately. Behind the scenes, we’re continuing to refine and tailor sessions to maximise every child’s experience and development.

We also had Coach Brad in for a trial; he’ll be back next week to get a closer look at how we run things as a business. Coach Charlie—who hasn’t yet been officially announced—is currently recovering from an operation. We’re wishing him a smooth recovery.

Christmas Party

Some exciting news: an LFF Christmas Party is happening! We’re just finalising details, but the estimated date is Thursday 18th December. Keep your eyes peeled—more information is coming soon.
