What a fantastic week it’s been at Lewis’s Football Fun.
Despite challenging weather conditions and the YMCA being inundated with snow — which unfortunately meant we had to cancel five groups — the week has still been a huge success. Across Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, we managed to get 12 groups indoors, which is an achievement in itself.
Every group showed an intense work rate, fantastic attitudes, and a real desire to improve. With different coaches working their magic across sessions, the quality and energy remained high throughout. I personally visited every single group, spending time both coaching and filming some excellent footage, while also passing on key, vital coaching points to support player development.
Considering the weather we’ve faced, this has been a brilliant start to the year, and we’ve picked up exactly where we left off last year — with high standards, great engagement, and continued progression.
A huge thank you to all parents for braving the cold and difficult conditions to get players to sessions. Your support never goes unnoticed, and we truly appreciate it. Fingers crossed the weather starts to improve soon!
Looking ahead, we have big plans for this year, including:
* Friendlies
* Match opportunities and trials
* Mini-tournaments
* Match weeks and tournament weeks
* Summer tournaments
* Presentations and parties
* Football camps
…and so much more.
The list really is endless.
Our social media presence is stronger than ever, and it’s only going to keep growing. With that in mind, we are currently on the lookout for a couple of sponsors:
One social-media-only sponsorship; offering regular promotion across all of our platforms
A second package including branding on kit; such as t-shirts, jumpers, hoodies, and coats
If you see the messages or want to get involved early, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Finally, a sincere thank you to last year’s sponsors; Mondrelog being the main one as well as Harvey Select, South Notts Surfacing helping with match kits...thanks for your support, hard work, and belief in what we do. We truly appreciate everything that you’ve contributed.
As one door closes, another opens — and we’re excited for what’s ahead.
See you all again for another big week
