LFF Weekly Recap
Another fantastic week at LFF!
Sunday sessions were great for the Avengers, Cubs, and Girls – it was lovely to be back after a few Sundays off. Monday was busy, but with roughly 12 players per group, we managed the sessions better, showing how hard we’re working behind the scenes to make every session more beneficial for your child.
Saturdays were excellent again, with lots of positive feedback, and it was great to have Coach Jackson back from holiday. Coach Lewis, Coach Nathan, Coach Jordan, and Coach Tom continue to smash our 1-2-1 sessions, helping players improve quickly.
Coach Lewis also stepped back into John Hunt, welcoming 30 new children and preparing for his first school match next week. We’re looking forward to a fantastic year working closely with John Hunt.
Player of the Month will be announced next week, with one outstanding player selected from our 200 current LFF players – a tough decision given the great performances this week! Our Newark Town teams also had more excellent results across the board. Coach Lewis is now looking at setting up a new Under-8s team, and we are still searching for players for our Under-11 Girls team.
This week was also our final Monday sessions at Farndon, but we’ve secured more pitch space at the YMCA, as well as continuing sessions at Active4Today for our younger groups. Plus, there’s still plenty of availability in our new Friday groups at Bishop Alexander – contact me if you’d like to join!
Overall, it’s been a brilliant week across all groups, and we can’t wait for what’s ahead.
— Coach Lewis
