Match Summary: Forest started brightly, and their high press paid off early when Thomas Steel’s pressure forced Ronnie into an own goal, making it 0–1.
City hit back as Rokas slid a clever pass through to Luan, who made no mistake to level the score at 1–1.
Steel restored Forest’s lead with a cool finish through the goalkeeper’s legs to make it 1–2, before Gabriel’s outstanding defending kept City at bay.
He then added his second — and Forest’s third — with a superb half-volley that Jenson got a hand to but couldn’t keep out, pushing the score to 1–3. Colby’s dangerous corner was met with another fine save from Jenson, who also denied Forest on a quick counter after a City free-kick.
In stoppage time, Luan netted his second of the day on the final whistle, but it was too late to prevent Forest from sealing all three points.
