Match Report: Newark Town Titans U10 at Bingham Town
Date: Saturday, 11/10/2025
Venue: Bingham Town
The Newark Town Titans U10 produced a solid all-round team performance away at Bingham Town, showing great energy, determination, and teamwork throughout. Every single player played their part in what was a well-deserved victory and a performance full of commitment.
The Titans started strongly, showing intent from the first whistle with sharp tackling, quick pressing, and confident passing. Their new corner routine caused problems for the hosts all game, leading to one of the goals directly from a corner. Ashton M’s determination earned him the opening goal, prodding the ball home from close range, while Billy W struck directly from a corner to double the advantage. Later, Aston C showed great awareness to get on the end of a perfect cross from James P and guide the ball home.
A tactical switch midway through the second half saw Raff S come on to sit in front of the defence in a 2-1-2-1 formation, providing extra stability and helping to control the tempo when under pressure.
Every player made a valuable contribution to the team’s success:
Harry – Showed excellent concentration throughout, making some great saves when called upon. Reliable as ever between the sticks.
Will – Solid as a rock at the back, showing great first touch and vision from defence. Would have been the manager’s second choice for MOM.
Steven – Formed a strong partnership with Will, reading the game well and putting in key tackles.
James – Tireless box-to-box display. Ran at defences, battled in midfield, and even filled in at defence when needed. Fully deserved his Manager’s MOM award.
Ashton M – Full of energy and presence, got the opening goal and set the tone early on.
Farley – Worked hard in tackles, attacked with purpose, and looked lively, especially in the first half. Provided a key assist.
Alfie – Didn’t see much of the ball at times but worked his socks off for the team, never stopped running.
Substitutes:
Aston C – Worked hard, took a few knocks but kept going and got his reward with a well-taken goal.
Billy W – Another strong, composed performance in midfield, battling hard and scoring directly from a corner.
Raff S – Came into a high-tempo game and made a big difference, marshalling the defence and keeping things tight. Fully deserved the Parents’ MOM.
Harley – Played solidly in two different positions, showing his versatility and capability in both defence and midfield.
