A positive start to Saturday saw Titans ready for a home game against Silva FC, with a full squad available and confidence high. The starting lineup featured Jack Lebeter, Barnaby Podmore, Ridley Hall, Freddie Pick, Davey Birtle, Kailum Cree, and Josef Pell, giving the team a strong presence on the pitch.
Titans began strongly, dominating possession but occasionally struggling to break through Silva FC’s defensive lines. Davey controlled the midfield effectively, supported by Kailum’s fast-paced runs on the wing, creating relentless pressure. At the back, Barnaby and Ridley formed a solid defensive wall, keeping Silva FC at bay. Josef’s pace and movement created opportunities, though he often found it difficult to get in front of defenders.
Despite some challenges, the team remained positive, maintaining bursts of strength and tempo. Freddie worked the left wing but was unable to fully find his rhythm, though he and Davey combined effectively to move the ball into attacking positions.
Around halfway through the first half, tactical substitutions were made: Freddie Gee replaced Josef, Arty came on for Freddie Pick, Levi replaced Ridley, and Leo took over from Kailum. Play became scrappy at times, with the pitch resembling a pinball machine, but Titans remained resilient. The first half ended 0-0.
At halftime, key players Jack, Ridley, Barnaby, Freddie Pick, Davey, Kailum, and Josef returned to the pitch. The second half continued in a scrappy fashion, with frustrations rising. Silva FC struggled to breach Davey’s control in midfield, while Barnaby remained a rock in defence, delivering a top-notch performance. Jack made several fantastic saves, keeping the clean sheet intact.
Further substitutions saw Levi come on for Freddie Pick on the right wing, Leo replace Kailum on the left, Arty return to defence for Ridley, and Freddie Gee give Josef a rest. In the final minutes, Tom and Vicki opted for a more attacking approach, bringing Josef back on the left wing to support Freddie Gee forward.
Barnaby and Levi worked brilliantly together, pushing forward from the back and utilizing the right wing effectively. Despite creating chances, Titans were unable to convert, and the game ended in a 0-0 draw—a slightly disappointing result from a match that could have been won.
We go again on Saturday...UP THE TITANS!
