The Newark Town Titans Under 8s faced Arnold Town Yellows in a thrilling match full of goals, drama, and some excellent team play. With Ezra leading the side as captain, the Titans showed determination from the very first minute when Josh had an early shot on goal, setting the tone for an exciting encounter.

Arnold opened the scoring with two quick goals before Newark hit back—an Arnold own goal, with Nile getting the final touch, gave the Titans a way back into the game. From there, the boys grew in confidence.

In the third quarter, Nile produced two excellent finishes—one neat strike and one audacious lob—to turn the momentum in Newark’s favour. Josh came close soon after, with Neo waiting to pounce, before Neo got his deserved goal with a brilliant assist from Josh, who showed great resilience to get back up after being tackled.

Ezra then powered down the wing and delivered a superb run to set up Nile for another goal. Arnold pulled one back despite Luca’s brave efforts in goal, but the Titans weren’t finished. Ezra had two goals disallowed—one from just running out of play and another from a pass-in—but he finally got his reward with a spectacular strike from near the halfway line.

At the back, Max and Harry were rock-solid in defence, with Archie and Ezra tracking back tirelessly to break down Arnold’s attacks. The whole team worked hard for each other and never gave up.
